Julia Liedel

Over de kunstenaar

Julia Liedel's practice is shaped by a fundamental interest in the social function of rites and narratives. That is why her artistic works often arise from stories she has thought up herself, inspired by the processing of her dreams and literature. Myths and snippets of information from old stories are included here. It is often about female identity and the free, intuitive play with role models. These emotional bricks are often associated with the relationship between humans and nature and their destruction. Out of desperation of this self-inflicted threat of destruction__social and economic systems__she tries to solve her own emotional respond to that with humor.
