Aurike Quintelier’s work consists of different media - drawings, site-specific installations, research, architectural explorations - with which she searches for the connections between people and places. The focus is on making evident the existing symbiotic relations and stories, and she often works in collaboration with community, orther artists or collectives. Lately, themes as interconnectedness and empathy are at the foreground, and how the imagination of places and space can influence these aspects. Quintelier was trained as an architect at Sint-Lucas Gent (KU Leuven), and as of 2023 she teaches the elective course ‘Architecture’ at LUCA School of Arts.
