I’m a visual artist who works across sculpture, installation, photography and video.
With my work, I examine the complex and often contradictory ways in which humans relate to the natural world. Recurring motifs are the organic and the scientific. I’m intrigued by the out-of-order and the in-betweens: those spaces where categories blur and familiar structures begin to dissolve. Shifting between macro and micro, I play with the human perspective, inviting viewers to question their position within the systems they take part in.

My visual language combines source material from a wide array of origins, from archives of the natural history museum to growing and photographing bioluminescent algae in my attic. Alongside these references to the ‘real’ world, I construct my own objects, deliberately blurring the boundaries between fact and fiction. In doing so, my work moves toward speculation, inviting new ways of imagining and understanding reality.
