The Little Black Fish

The Little Black Fish

About the artist

Hey! I am Mona A.Shahi!

have a degree in physics, but I realized my world is a world of stories. I studied animation and migrated to Belgium four years ago. I went on to study animation again in Belgium, Finland, and Portugal, and now I am pursuing Autonomous Design at KASK.

I am a poet, and I think and live poetically. I am passionate about animation; although I have written and created many works for children, the world of adults is another realm for me.

I am my images, my colors, my words, my animation, my protest, my companionship, and my love. I am Iranian and a visual storyteller; I work in 2D animation and stop-motion.

I tell stories, and you might find me at a film festival, in a ceramics workshop combining multiple arts for storytelling, or reading poetry accompanied by musicians.

In the end, I am a complex story, full of unique and extraordinary moments.
