Sara Manente is an artist, choreographer, dramaturg, performer based in Brussels. She holds
a Master's degree in Communication from the University of Bologna, with an interdisciplinary
thesis in semiotics of dance, and has been affiliated with a.pass (Advanced Performance and
Scenography Studies) since 2008 as part of the postmaster programme and the research center. She was also an artist-in-residence at WIELS in 2021. Her work is characterized by a transdisciplinary approach and a curiosity for sharing knowledge and practices by way of initiating collaborative projects. “Drawing on the imagery and matter of living cultures and mycelium brought into relation with live arts, her more recent projects reflect on the possibility of contamination between pedagogy, research, performance and publication resulting in a variety of formats.”
