Anastasiia Stefaniuk is a tapestry artist. Originally from Ukraine, since 2022 she resides in Antwerp, Belgium.

She first discovered the art of weaving while studying Textile Design at Kyiv University of Technologies and Design in 2011. Despite her education, Anastasiia initially chose to pursue a non-creative career path.

The 2020 pandemic prompted her return to weaving, embracing it as a meditative and self-soothing practice.

Anastasiia's tapestries are handcrafted on a frame loom in a freestyle manner, using second-hand yarns to intuitively weave intricate, colourful compositions.

In her artistic practice, Anastasiia explores the relationship between natural elements and human biological processes, focusing on the theme of resources.
